Planners Plus Inc. is a full service meeting planning firm with the ability to oversee every aspect and component of any type or size of event.<
The one constant is change! The year 2011 ended with great new clients and wonderful challenges and a few unexpected changes in our team. We completed the VIP Grand Opening of the new James Richardson International Airport in Winnipeg. We started the planning process for the Grand Opening of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights and continued to grow our client base along the way.
In December of 2011 we said goodbye to Shannon Barry an eight-year member of our team who moved on to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. Later that same month we welcomed Elena Gagliardi, Project Manager. Formerly with the Victoria Inn we had the pleasure of working with her for years and are very pleased that she joined our team. In January we lost one of our team with the sudden death of Betty Bates. She is remembered daily!

To say that the Canadian Museum of Human Rights will be an international must see is an understatement! After climbing 12 flights of stairs, on our construction tour, we began to realize the intricacies and meaning of each and every part of the museum. Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada you will be so proud!!
We are also thrilled to announce that we have welcomed three new clients to Planners Plus. The Manitoba Heavy Construction Association has signed us up for their March 2012 conference as has Volunteer Manitoba for their April volunteer appreciation dinner and last but not least, Winnserv for a 2013 conference. Two returning clients, who hold an event in Manitoba every 10 years, are back and we have begun work on the Canadian Association of Statutory Human Rights Agencies conference and the 2014 Canadian Association of Provincial Court Judges conference.
Oh yeahGO JETS GO!!!
Planners Plus Inc. is pleased to announce that our newest client is the Canadian Museum for Human Rights.
Planners Plus, in conjunction with POP Sports & Entertainment, will assist the Museum in the planning of the Opening Ceremonies.
As I write this update 2011 is starting off with a bang with 8 events under our belts and almost 30 in the planning stages.
We continue to work with many returning clients such as Manitoba School Boards Association, who have been with us since 1991, and a growing list of new clients such as the Manitoba Association for Arts Education and Canadian Health Care Innovation. For me personally, February 1st marks 22 years as an Event Planner.
Think about this... The G8 Religious Leaders Summit, Truth and Reconciliation Commission, Grand Opening of the $ 160M Richardson’s canola crushing plant, a week long Summer Institute, Interlake Regional Health Authority, International Centre for Infectious Disease and the MBCI Grad – and those were just in June!!
"I never had a chance to say how much I appreciated your organization of our event! You made it work seamlessly, and contributed greatly to everybody's enjoyment of the conference. Competence and professionalism with the human touch... Thank you so much!"
